East Providence High School

Designated as the Owner’s Project Manager in the Spring of 2018, the Peregrine/CGA team is providing comprehensive management and oversight of the $189.5 million, 300,000 square foot new comprehensive high school project. Engaged after the completion of RIDE Stage II, Peregrine managed the solicitation and selection of design, construction, and other project professionals along with the District leadership team. With Ownership, team members collectively led activities in support of 2018 local bond referendum approval process including coordination of public relations, community outreach and community forum activities.

The team conducted analysis of the Stage II submittal including additional visioning activities, extensive program review with faculty and District leadership and engagement with key stakeholders. This led to an accelerated review of the high school program, footprint and campus masterplan resulting in a completely new design to better meet the 21st century learning, operational and facility needs. Peregrine coordinated this effort in a compressed timeframe with senior leadership and design team members, reporting out to Building Committee, School Committee and City leadership.

The project team has navigated construction oversight, team management, bond placement, alternative funding sources and processing of Pay-Go funding to help support financial components of the project cost of the project. The new High School opened in time for the 2021-2022 school year with close out projected for the end of 2022.
